                   This statement is implying that in order to be truly great you have to be truly good. For example, you can be truly great at a sport of any kind but if the only reason you are great at thus sport is because you cheated the you are not truly good. In order to be truly good you have to do right by everything. 

                              Student Success Statement 

"Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn't. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don't do it."

This is actually very relateable. I understand this quote a lot because i have done some pretty shady stuff. At first i thought it would be worth it but it really isn't.

            Volunteer opportunities

Do you enjoy arts and culture? Do you have a soft spot for animals? Or do you have an interest in education.  If yes the volunteer work is the perfect thing for you. The following will be a couple of examples of some volunteer groups you can join.

Los Angeles Rescue Mission

The Los Angeles Mission has existed for 75 years providing help, hope and opportunity to men, women and children in need. The Mission hosts the annual Thanksgiving Feast, which attracts several celebrity volunteers.Volunteer opportunities include decorating, graphic design, cooking grant writing and photography. Commitment levels range from one time to weekly. They are mostly revolved around helping the homeless.

Hope for Paws

Hope for Paws was started by Audrey and Eldad Hagar. They have been featured in the Huffington Post numerous timeMany people abandon their pets and dump them in the streets. The animals are then put at risk of starvation, abuse and death. “These valuable creatures help us whether it is assisting the blind or finding people under the rubble from an earthquake. They help us in times of war and during human catastrophes. We want to help both humans and animals alike live harmonious and fulfilling lives together” – Hope For Paws.

   Ophthalmologist

An Ophthalmologist is someone who deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eyeball.

Duties and responsibilities ~ While ophthalmologists can be thought of generically as 'eye doctors' and perform some of the same duties as optometrists, they differ in that ophthalmologists perform eye surgery and treat eye diseases. Ophthalmologists also examine eyes and prescribe contact lenses and glasses.

Salary ~ $105,015 to $249,468 per year.

Education ~ Ophthalmologists are a type of physician, and, thus, they are required to earn a medical degree. The process is a lengthy one, with a prospective ophthalmologist having to earn a 4-year bachelor's degree, complete four years of medical school and undergo 3-8 years of internships and residencies.

Reflection ~ i would not major in this because id probably accidently make you blind.

    Nursing Home Administrator

Nursing Home Administrating is a specialized area of medical/health services management.

Duties & and Responsibilities:

• Overseeing Staff and Personnel, Financial matters
• Providing medical care
• Provide medical supplies

Salary:  $94,739-$118,546,

Education: Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration.

Reflection: I would not choose this job. I dislike old people and have had a bad experience with them.

                              I find it very hard to agree with her because unfortunatley for some people even though they choose to do good, only bad comes to them. For instance Jesus(if he's real) gave food to those in need and helped a blind man see. What did he get in return? He got nailed into a cross and got murdered.

• Pass the medical licensing exam
• Complete an internship and Neurosurgical Residency Exam
• Become State licensed and board certified

Reflection ~ I don’t think I’m cut out for this job at all. Just thinking that someone’s life is in my hand or that I’m responsible for cutting into them just gives me anxiety
